“The Reciprocity Ring is a dynamic group exercise that applies the “pay-it-forward” principle to your team or group while creating and cementing high-quality connections.” – Professor Adam Grant
The Reciprocity Ring, created by Wayne Baker, Cheryl Baker, and Adam Grant is the idea of both asking for and giving help to create a culture of giving. It's a group activity designed to foster collaboration and mutual assistance. Here's how it works: participants gather and share a specific need or challenge they're facing. Participants can share specific professional or personal requests, and the group will share their resources, connections and ideas. It's all about giving without the immediate expectation of getting – knowing that the circle of generosity will eventually come back to you.
Why the Reciprocity Ring Matters: Beyond just an engaging exercise, the Reciprocity Ring cultivates a culture of genuine giving and support. Participants often discover untapped resources and forge stronger connections with their peers.
Our first iteration of the Reciprocity Ring will be held virtually and capped at 10 participants.
