The HBS Club of Seattle is inviting Wharton Alumni to their upcoming event with Wharton Alum Richard Galanti W'78:
Costco CFO, EVP & Board Member Richard Galanti W'78: Observations from a Career at Costco
The HBS Club of Seattle invites you to join us for a presentation and discussion with Richard Galanti, W'78 who served as Costco CFO since 1984 and is one of the longest serving CFOs in the US. Richard will share his observations as the CFO for almost 40 years and now as EVP and Board Member of one of the worlds largest retailers, its incredible growth story based in the Pacific Northwest, the challenges and opportunities in our ever-changing retail landscape, and the secrets behind the $1.50 hotdog. Richard’s presentation will be followed by time for Q&A and networking. This is a unique opportunity to learn from his deep experience as one of the longest-serving CFO’s of a NYSE company.
Richard started his career in investment banking at Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, and left to join Costco, an unknown retail startup, in 1984 when they were opening their first three stores. Since then, he’s been Costco’s “voice” on Wall Street, guiding the company from ground zero to $250 billion in annual sales.
This is a space limited event, so please purchase early! This even is hosted by the HBS Club of Seattle
