Please join us for an evening of networking and a panel conversation as we hear former NFL players discuss what lead them to pursue a professional football career, reflections on playing, and pursuing their professional goals after football leading to the amazing careers they have today.

Jordan Babineaux (Speaker)
President, Assure Ride

Former Seattle Seahawks and Tennessee Titans Defensive Back, Jordan Babineaux, enters his fifth season as an NFL Host and Analyst.

Babineaux spent nine seasons in the NFL before retiring after the 2012 NFL season and quickly transitioned to TV appearing on NFL Network.

With a Bachelor's Degree in Mass Communications from Southern Arkansas University, Babineaux, was named Seattle Seahawks new Digital Media Producer and Host in 2015. In addition, Babineaux co-hosts the Seattle Seahawks 710 ESPN pre- game radio show and Fox Q-13 post-game TV broadcast.

Babineaux's older brother, Jonathan, is a 12-year defensive tackle in the NFL, and have spent his entire career playing for the Atlanta Falcons. The Babineaux brothers have a production company, Two Brothers Productions, producing several titles, including Kevin Hart's "Seriously Funny." Other production releases include a Bishop T. D. Jakes feature film "Woman Thou Art Loosed: On the 7th Day" and Mike Epps' "Live from Club Nokia."

 

David Kirtman (Speaker)
Vice President, J.P. Morgan Private Bank

David Kirtman is a Vice President and Private Banker with J.P. Morgan's Private Bank team in Seattle. As a Banker, David is responsible for developing and managing relationships with affluent clients, and addressing their planning, banking, lending, philanthropic and investment needs. The team's responsibility is to provide clients a coordinated plan for meeting complex financial goalsand objectives.

Mr. Kirtman joined J.P. Morgan in 2013 as a senior sales trader in the J.P. Morgan Corporate Investment Bank in Tokyo, Japan. During his time with the Asian franchise, he managed key relationships and drove client activity into the Japanese markets. He worked on the single stock sales trading desk as well as the portfolio desk creating a hybrid role aimed at maximizing liquidity offering to clients.

In 2016, Mr. Kirtman transferred from the Tokyo office to New York, joining the International Equity Sales Trading desk. David was responsible for driving import/export business from Asian and US accounts. Along with his Asian responsibilities, Mr. Kirtman was also tasked with liquidity consulting and trading in Latin American, European and North American equity markets.Prior to joining J.P. Morgan, Mr. Kirtman worked 3 1⁄2 years with BAML in their Tokyo office spending time on three separate trading desks. Before moving to Japan and starting his career in finance, Mr. Kirtman was drafted to the Seattle Seahawks in the 5th round in 2006  and spent 3 seasons with the team. He also spent time with the San Francisco 49ers, New Orleans Saints and San Diego Chargers during the 2008 season.

David graduated from the University of Southern California in 2005 with a B.A. degree in Business and was a 2-time National Champion and 4-time Pac-10 champion on the USC football team. Mr. Kirtman has one son and one daughter and lives with his wife, Chanyn, on Mercer Island.

 

Joe Tafoya (Speaker)
CEO, JumpIt Media Inc.

Joe Tafoya is a former American National Football League player and entrepreneur. He played seven seasons as a defensive end/linebacker before injuring his foot in training camp of 2008, upon which he retired. He was drafted in the 7th round of the 2001 NFL Draft by Tony Dungy and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Injured in the first pre-season game of his professional career with an ankle fracture, he was released on injury waivers and picked up by the Chicago Bears. He spent three seasons with the Chicago Bears and appeared in the 2001 NFC Divisional playoffs game against the Philadelphia Eagles where he recorded three tackles. Tafoya was picked up as a free agent by the Seattle Seahawks. He appeared in the 2005 Super Bowl against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He was then picked up as a free agent by the Arizona Cardinals in 2007 and released after he suffered a career-ending injury during the 2008 training camp.

Upon retirement he acquired a Mobile Entertainment company developing mobile applications focused on fan engagement. He was invited to speak at the 2011 AT&T Developers Conference as part of the AT&T Keynote Speech by CMO David Christopher on the topic of fan engagement through mobile technology. With a continued focus on fan engagement he began working with former players Kerry Carter, Chike Okeafor, and Lance Briggs to build a fan focused mobile solutions at the SXSW Mobile App Hackathon.

In 2012 Tafoya and Carter launched JumpIt Media Inc. a sports marketing company centered on fan engagement.As the CEO of JumpIt Media Inc., Tafoya partnered with the Richard Sherman Family Foundation to Launch the Richard Sherman Celebrity Softball Game held July 7 at Cheney Stadium in Tacoma, Washington. Shortly after the Sherman event, Tafoya and JumpIt Media Inc. entered a Joint Venture partnership to promote the TM brands Volume 12 and Legion of Boom. He launched an awareness campaign to promote the unknown brand Volume 12 by inviting the Guinness World Records to CenturyLink Field to measure crowd roar in an effort to break the world record for "Loudest Crowd Roar at an outdoor Sports Stadium.
